[2/9/2012] Singapore Comics Games and Toys Convention

Waiiiiit for it...... and yes! Now its the weekend! Haha.. this week has been extremely tiring and tough for me. This was made worst by the late night travel Sunday night from Singapore to KL arriving graciously at 230 am!

Anyhow, the reason why I was in Singapore (yes the little red dot!) was to go for the Singapore Comics Games and Toys Convention (SGTCC) which was held in Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Centre. (Warning! Long Post & Lots of Pics Ahead!)

So you must be wondering why the heck this dude travel all the way to Singapore from KL just to go look at toys? hahaha... Well let me show you instead of why I went all the way there! 

 Well first we got collectibles like the ones below

 It looks totally good...

 And i love the way they can be postured to re-enact scenes or just take doll playing to a whole new level. 

 Check out black widow! But what i hate is the fact that most of the toys are placed in clear plexiglass with lights shining on them.. So it makes my shadows appear or the pictures seem weird. 

 And not to miss out on some gameplay. This guy seemed totally in it with grey hair.. But i guess nak fight an uncle u gotta be pretty badass! haha

AND THEN ON TO MY FAVOURITES.....

LEGO!

Check out the siege of this castle man... (for some reason theres a ghost there!)

And also another favorite the Star Wars scenes... 

  You can see the emperor and Lord Vader getting off the imperial transport. I guess this must have been the Return of The Jedi cause there's the biker storm troopers. 

 And check this out.. full set of them.. 

 The rebels would want to be represented too right? You can see the X-Wing, A- Wing and Millennium Falcon there..And right in the middle is Princess Leia with the bunch of rebel pilots. 

 This is awesome.. The set of storm trooper helmets. I love all of this!!!

 And you have the posters.. I took a bunch of pics of them last year so i didn't want to post anymore but the one below got my attention. 

And you also have the cos-players! 

 Oh hello there 

 And! there's these other dolls which are more for guys i think which focus on military characters.. I love them for all their details to the guns, the BDU's, the scopes and other tactical stuffz. This is also why i love playing paintball. But thats another story la. 

Lastly, if you are a fan of these dolls and toys and collectibles, you can find some good limited editions and interesting ones and some on discount from these places. Anyhow it was fun but i think the 2011 one seemed to be a lot more interesting than this but it was still good. Till then.. Wait for it!!!
